The name of the man suspected by Sweden’s security police Saepo of being the author of two blasts in a shopping neighbourhood of Stockholm over the weekend has appeared in the Swedish and British press, as the investigation into Europe’s latest terrorist scare moves to the northern suburbs of London.
On Saturday, two separate explosions, a car bombing and a suspected suicide blast, rocked a bustling pedestrian quarter of the Swedish capital. The presumed attacker -- identified by an Islamist Web site as Taymour Abdel Wahab – died, and two people were injured in a plot apparently targeting Christmas shoppers.

The Swedish news agency TT, as well as Saepo, received a threatening email referring to Sweden's troops in Afghanistan and controversial cartoons of the prophet Mohammad minutes before the explosions.
According to Olivier Truc, correspondent for French daily Le Monde in Sweden, the man’s identity was quickly published. “He signed the threatening message to the press and police, and he’s also registered as the owner of the car that exploded. It may not be the man who died on Saturday, but the Swedish press quote police sources”, Truc said.
