Prince Chunk Dies

Prince Chunk Dies - Famously large cat Prince Chunk has died in New Jersey, according to the AP. The white tabby became a media celebrity after the Camden County Animal Shelter took him in two years ago and reported that he weighed 44 pounds, just short of a world record. Prince Chunk made appearances on Good Morning America and Live with Regis and Kelly. Prince Chunk was adopted by Vince Damiani of Blackwood, New Jersey, who claimed the cat actually weighed 22 pounds when he brought it home from the shelter. The Damiani family later established the Prince Chunk Foundation, a nonprofit organization which helps pet owners keep their animals during times of financial distress. Vince Damiani said that Prince Chunk died in his sleep on Sunday. Prince Chunk Dies

Jenni-Lyn Watson Body Found

Jenni-Lyn Watson Body Found - Jenni-Lyn Watson, 20, vanished Nov. 19 from her parents' home in Clay after she tried to break up with obsessed on-again, off-again boyfriend Steven Pieper, 21, Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said. Pieper, of upstate Liverpool, was arrested and charged with murder after a body believed to be Watson's was discovered yesterday about 2 miles north of the aspiring ballerina's home near Syracuse, Fitzpatrick said. Eden Mishler, 21, a fellow dance major, said the couple had a rocky - and sometimes jealous - relationship. "She would talk to us, just saying, after they broke up, that he was trying to contact her and friend-request her on Facebook," she said. "She was avoiding him." Investigators believe Pieper killed Watson, who attended Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., at her parents' house on Nov. 19 after she tried to end the relationship, Fitzpatrick said. "We do not believe she left that

Consumers Movings Savings Accounts

Consumers Movings Savings Accounts - Savings accounts are hard to keep full, especially with the recession and the holiday season approaching. Checking accounts are no better. That's why many customers are slipping away from banks and switching to community banks and credit unions, according to Boston.com. Based on a poll by Zogby International, fourteen percent of U.S. adults have switched to a community bank or credit union in the last year. Why? Sixty percent of that group said that they moved their accounts to "protest policies or behavior of large national banks," Boston.com reported. The second and third reasons were lower service charges and better rates, respectively. Have you found yourself among this group who have switched their savings and checking accounts to smaller banks and credit unions? Consumers Movings Savings Accounts

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Michael Katsidis

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Michael Katsidis - Mexico’s Juan Manuel Marquez will make the second defense of his world lightweight titles tonight when he meets Australia’s Michael Katsidis at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Marquez (51-5-1, 37 knockouts) stands as Mexico’s proudest world champion, having fought Manny Pacquiao to a 2004 draw and a 2008 split-decision loss. Marquez proceeded to claim the lightweight belt by defeating Juan Diaz in the 2009 fight of the year. He took a big pay day to get beat by the far larger Floyd Mayweather Jr. later last year, then returned to the lightweight division and punished Diaz again in a July unanimous decision. Katsidis (27-2, 22 KOs) has lost to two opponents that Marquez has defeated in recent years –- Diaz and Joel Casamayor –- but he’s won his last four bouts and is fighting in the memory of his brother, who died recently. Marquez expressed sympathy, but has his sights set on a third showdown with Pacquiao. Any hope of that requir

Sugar Bowl 2011

Sugar Bowl 2011 - Sugar Bowl 2011 which is to be played in the Louisiana Superdome on January 4, 2011 has already started receiving a lot of talk about who will be participating. The 2011 Sugar Bowl Game (known via sponsorship as the Allstate Sugar Bowl) is an American college football bowl game that will be part of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) for the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season and is the 77th Sugar Bowl. The contest is scheduled on January 4, 2011, The BCS rankings for Week 14 are due out on Sunday evening, and it’s far from a foregone conclusion that a Big East team will be able to crack the top 25. This is a huge dilemma, of course, as the Big East champion automatically earns a berth in a BCS bowl game. It won’t be for another shot at the BCS title, but Ohio State could start the New Year dashing out of a Superdome tunnel into the Sugar Bowl as Big Ten co-champions. Ohio State could be a sweet fit in 2011 Sugar Bowl. Northwestern backup quarterback E
