Walgreens Customer Email Hacked - A Walgreens customer e-mail list has been hacked, the country’s second largest drugstore said. “We want to assure you that the only information that was obtained was your e-mail address,” Walgreens told customers in an apologetic e-mail. “Your prescription information, account and any other personally identifiable information were not at risk because such data is not contained in the e-mail system, and no access was gained to Walgreens consumer data systems.” Walgreens Customer Email Hacked A Walgreens spokesman said the company became aware of the hacking incident about a week ago and began notifying subscribers Friday, Dec. 10. “Only e-mail addresses were obtained,” the spokesman told the Chicago Tribune.
