In a USA Today report, Portman said, "I started training a year ahead of time. We were (doing) 5-8 hours a day of ballet and cross-training with swimming and toning."
In addition, Natalie Portman began the difficult chroegraphy training required for "Black Swan" two month before filming. She insists, however, that she didn't stop eating the foods she liked to lose the extra 20 pounds for the role.
"I didn't stop eating, I decreased my portion size," she said. "I didn't really cut anything out, I just ate a lot less than I would normally."
See Natalie Portman in "Black Swan" Friday, Dec. 3 when it hits theaters. Cinemas throughout Portland, Ore. in the Tigard, Beaverton, Tualatin, and Oregon City will be the hot spot that evening.
Watching the previews for "Black Swan," it's evident Natalie Portman dropped even more weight from her already small frame. She was reportedly relieved to have her "normal" portion-sized meals after the movie wrapped filming.
