Leann Rimes Eddie Cibrian Engaged - Country singer LeAnn Rimes got engaged over the holidays with Eddie Cibrian. Rimes confirmed her engagement to Cibrian over the microblogging Web site Twitter.

"Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays," the 28-year-old singer writes. "It's for real this time and the first time EVER!"

Rimes and Cibrian were rumoured to be set on getting married since last month, but Rimes has denied the engagement which was reported by E! News. The entertainment outlet then said that Rimes was upset because she and Cibrian wanted to give their engagement as an exclusive to another outlet.

But Rimes has chosen to break the news through Twitter. The singer further wrote: "It was nice to have our little secret for us our families and friend's a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans."

"Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It's been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love."
