Everett then muses about whether or not Firth, who seems to be on track for a second consecutive best actor Oscar nomination for The King's Speech, has robbed gay actors of coveted roles.
Next, he critiques Firth's performance in the 2008 smash Mamma Mia! "Colin Firth I don't think was at all good in Mamma Mia!," he says in the candid interview. "You know, I would have thought it was almost a careericide."
Everett does manage to finally dole out a compliment, however. "On the other hand, I think (Firth's) performance in A Single Man was the best performance of his life."
