Flags At Half Mast Today

Flags At Half Mast Today - Flags are at half-staff today in remembrance of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, plunging the United States into World War II.

Missouri Gov, Jay Nixon issued the order for the lowering of flags on Monday. The order applies to all U.S. and Missouri flags at state and local government buildings. A 1996 law designates today as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and calls for flags at half-staff.
