It's the 26th year the event has been held in Las Vegas. But now, there are questions about just how much longer it will be here.
The Thomas and Mack Center has been home to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and competitors say there's nothing like it.
"There's 17,000 people hollering - it's an amazing deal."
And it's amazing for fans, too, because when the rodeo isn't going on, there's lots to do.
"You go to all the hotels and a little gambling and eating."
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is contracted to be in Las Vegas through 2014. And Las Vegas Events says they've been informally negotiating to extend that.
"Our goal is to continue to make the experience better. That in itself makes it very difficult for any other city to compete with."
But there are rumors that Jerry Jones is trying to lure the NFR to his newly opened Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
"Dallas offers a stadium, we offer a city," argues the president of Las Vegas Events.
Fans and competitors seem to agree.
Tina Patel: What would you think if they did move it?
"Terrible. I think Vegas is an ideal place for it. There's a lot to do. I'd hate to see it go to Dallas."
