Alex Van Halen. Contact Music reports Hamzy, now 56, claimed to be intimate with Peter Frampton, Gene Simmons, Willie Nelson and Rick Springfield. Hamzy gained fame from the Grand Funk Railroad lyric in the song "We're An American Band." Hamzy is from Arkansas and appeared on Howard Stern's radio show on Dec. 8.
Other song lyrics have mentioned real-life people by name. Even recent songs written about encounters still, to this day, talk about relationships between singers and their lovers.

Taylor Swift's new album "Speak Now" has sold over a million copies and is a more mature album now that she's older. On many of the songs, she's written about more adult relationships, and one in particular has been rumored to call out John Mayer.
Swift was romantically linked to Mayer in 2009, when they collaborated on a song on one of his albums titled "Half of My Heart." Swift supposedly got him back with the song "Dear John."
Although Swift has denied the song is about Mayer, she stated in an interview her songs are a "roadmap" for her relationships.
"Everyone will know, so I don't really have to send out emails on this one."
