I think the Sonata is Hyundai's first great car. It sets the table for the automaker to have a huge year in 2011 as the Elantra compact and Accent subcompact follow in its tracks.
The Leaf is the most practical and affordable battery-electric car ever. Its EPA-rated range of 73 miles on a full charge is good, though the EPA's estimated charging time of seven hours from a 240-volt outlet makes the car impractical for many. The $349-a-month lease payment is a good deal on a car that will never burn a drop of gasoline.
