Black Friday iPad Deals - iPhone and iPad apps which have been redesigned to take advantage of the new iOS 4.2.1 operating system are aplenty in the App Store, and plenty of them are sporting discounted price tags for Black Friday and the start of the holiday shopping season. The cons: you can’t quite put an app under a tree. The pros: if you’re shopping for yourself anyway, that doesn’t matter. The nice part is that at the App Store, there are no lines tonight. But then again, it seems some folks actually enjoy getting whacked in the face by a falling Elmo doll. Or so we’re told.

In any case, it’s worth pointing out that all App Store apps are iOS 4.2.1 compatible, not just the ones which have been specifically updated as such. And if you are in fact thinking of others while tearing through the App Store looking for Black Friday bargains tonight, discounted apps can in fact be gifted to someone else – although there goes the Christmas morning surprise.
