Most people don't know what to expect before they play. So here is a quick run down. There are always two teams going against each other. If you have enough friends with you, you can form a team. The two teams will usually have different colors on to distinguish them from each other.
There are several short games played. Capture the flag is a popular one. This involved both teams trying to get each others flags from opposite sides of the course and bring it back to their base.
Some quick paint ball tips
Don't go spraying paint balls because you think you are rambo. Paint balls can finish very quickly and you will be stuck without ammo. Only shoot when you think you have a chance of shooting someone.
Keep in mind paint balls hurt when they hit you so cover up. Always make sure you have good cover and only make a run when the coast is clear.
For the men, get a box. The groin is the last place you want to be hit by a paint ball.
