"I believe that the aggravated manslaughter charges are totally inappropriate and misplaced," Locane's lawyer, Blair Zwillman, tells E! News. "I believe that when all of the facts of the incident become known, Amy Locane will be acquitted. She has confidence in the criminal justice system. She is distraught about the death of Helene Seeman. Amy has two young daughters who mean everything to her."
According to the original criminal complaint, Locane admitted to police that she had been drinking wine before getting behind the wheel.
At around 9 p.m. on June 27, her 2007 Chevy Tahoe hit the passenger side of Fred Seeman's 2010 Mercury Milan as he was turning into a driveway. Helene, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was killed at the scene, according to poilce.
