Recovering from the Holiday Binge - Holidays are usually the time we binge on food and alcohol throwing all our fitness/health goals out the window. Especially during the christmas/new year period. This is why most new years resolutions are to lose weight.

Recovering from the binge isn't that difficult. Although a good detox is in order. A quick way to detox is to fast for a couple of days. Fasting not only let's you drop a few pounds, it also allows your body to rest from the strain of digestion and expel any bad elements in your body. But before you start fasting, consult your medical professional if you have any existing health issues.

Rigorous exercise also will help you feel lighter and recovered after your holiday binge. Sweating it out at the gym will do you a world of good. Any kind of intense cardio such as running is ideal.
