Megan Waterman Still Missing - The family of a missing woman in Scarborough is hoping that their loved one is not among the four women found dead on Long Island this week.

22-year old Megan Waterman was last seen 6 months ago in the area where the bodies were found. But police say they aren't making any assumptions.

Police who were investigating the case of a missing prostitute from New Jersey discovered a set of skeletal remains and three other decomposed bodies in Oak Beach, New York this week. Waterman took frequent trips to Long Island with her boyfriend and advertized as an escort on Craigs List there. Police say she was last seen with her boyfriend at 1:30 in the morning on June 6 at a Holiday Inn a few miles away from where the bodies were found.

However, Scarborough Police say they are assuming nothing, and they're waiting for the bodies to be identified. In the meantime, they're continuing to investigate this as a missing persons case.

Waterman's mother, Lorraine Ela, and her aunt, Elizabeth Meserve, say they are not giving up hope either.

Ela said, "I go through my emotions where one day I think she's not with us. Then the next day, for a few days, I still hope that she is still with us."

Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone - Police say a man on a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas punched a teenager who refused to turn off his iPhone as the plane approached the Boise airport. Officers arrested 68-year-old Russell E. Miller, of Boise, on suspicion of misdemeanor battery Tuesday. He has been released from jail on bond. Witnesses told police the 15-year-old was playing games and listening to music on his cell phone when flight attendants instructed passengers to turn off their electronic devices because the plane was landing. Contactless Debit Cards - Contactless debit cards will make their formal debut in Canada next year with the launch of Interac Flash from Acxsys Corp.’s Interac Association, Canada’s national debit network. Interac’s first two Flash issuers are Scotiabank and RBC Royal Bank, which will roll out their first contactless cards next summer. The first acquirer is TD Merchant Services, a unit of Toronto-Dominion Bank. More issuers and acquirers are on the way, an Interac spokesperson tells Digital Transactions News, though no announcements have been made yet.
