"Matt Virgil is a thoughtful, knowledgeable and dedicated man who is well respected as an educator and leader throughout the St. Louis community. We appoint him with great confidence in his ability to lead CDS with intelligence and enthusiasm toward a bright future."
Virgil is the director of curriculum and instruction for City Academy in St. Louis. He previously served as the upper school director at Rossman School, and as a faculty member and the eighth-grade dean of students at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School, both in St. Louis County.
Virgil holds a bachelor's degree in history from Vanderbilt University, master's degree in teaching from Columbia University and master of engineering degree in school leadership from Harvard University.
