Jeresy Shore Star Spin-Off - Here's the situation - DJ Pauly D got the first "Jersey Shore" spinoff.

He beat out Snooki, The Situation and JWoww, who were all negotiating for spinoff programs.

MTV announced the deal with Pauly D (real name: Paul DelVecchio) yesterday, saying it has already filmed a pilot in his home state of Rhode Island, but no air date has been set yet.

"At the heart of Jersey Shore is the unique and genuine cast and Pauly D truly embodies both qualities," MTV programming Vice President Chris Linn said in a statement.

"He has distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can't help but want to hang out with," Linn said. "We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore, and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that."

Reports of the spinoff first emerged in September, when DelVecchio was rumored to be shooting his pilot.

Though he did not confirm the news at the time, he was quick to reach out to his fans on Wednesday.
