Debbie Flores Narvaez

Debbie Flores Narvaez - Debbie Flores-Narvaez is the Las Vegas showgirl and dancer who disappeared into thin air. Family and friends fear the worst as the intense search continues.

The story of a Vegas performer who has been missing for nearly a week is seeping into the web news cycle tonight. Narvaez, who is a dancer at the Luxor and Palms Casinos, was last seen back on the evening of December 12th. Things turned decidedly worse a few days ago when her Chevrolet Prism was recovered.

Authorities would not confirm where the vehicle was found, but the discovery was made last Thursday. So far, police will not say whether or not they suspect foul play.

Her family is understandably shaken by her disappearance. Debbie’s sister told the press: “I can’t make anything of this right now. It’s not her. It’s not her to go missing. It’s not her to take a small vacation like this…”

I guess we can all agree that we hope it is simply a ‘small vacation.’

The last person to see her was her ex-boyfriend, Blu Griffith. He claims she arrived at his house the night of her disappearance, but didn’t stick around. He apparently said that she was depressed lately over being apart from family during the holidays.

It turns out that the 31-year-old is actually a serious dancer. Family and friends say that dancing made her happy and ‘cheered her up.’

From what I’ve read there is no indication that she was involved in the underworld scene of Vegas. There has been no mention of drugs, or even her involvement with shady characters, which is all too often the case with stories like this.

We will keep you updated as more information roll in. Until then, check out a photo and some video of Debbie Flores-Narvaez below. More on the story at Fox News.

Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone

Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone - Police say a man on a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas punched a teenager who refused to turn off his iPhone as the plane approached the Boise airport. Officers arrested 68-year-old Russell E. Miller, of Boise, on suspicion of misdemeanor battery Tuesday. He has been released from jail on bond. Witnesses told police the 15-year-old was playing games and listening to music on his cell phone when flight attendants instructed passengers to turn off their electronic devices because the plane was landing. Witnesses told police that when the teen didn't respond, Miller got angry and punched the boy in the arm. Miller says he "tapped" the teen on the shoulder after he refused to turn off the phone. He told the Idaho Statesman that he may have "overreacted," but that he did not punch the teen. Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone

Contactless Debit Cards - Contactless debit cards will make their formal debut in Canada next year with the launch of Interac Flash from Acxsys Corp.’s Interac Association, Canada’s national debit network. Interac’s first two Flash issuers are Scotiabank and RBC Royal Bank, which will roll out their first contactless cards next summer. The first acquirer is TD Merchant Services, a unit of Toronto-Dominion Bank. More issuers and acquirers are on the way, an Interac spokesperson tells Digital Transactions News, though no announcements have been made yet. Interac and the banks tested Flash this summer at some high-volume, small-ticket merchants in downtown Toronto. The spokesperson expects national merchants will be making formal announcements about acceptance. “There’s a lot of excitement in the merchant community,” she says. “Merchants are looking for that faster throughput.” In a statement, the Retail Council of Canada endorsed the new card. “Interac Flash is a welcome and needed ...
