AFL Photo Scandal on FaceBook

AFL Photo Scandal on FaceBook - AFL St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt says he is shocked and hurt that a photo of him naked, taken by a teammate in Miami, has appeared on Facebook.

Riewoldt told a press conference in Melbourne he did not know the teenager who posted the photo of him and fellow players Zac Dawson and Nick Dal Santo on the internet, and found her action incomprehensible and distressing.

The Federal Court yesterday issued an order restraining the unnamed teenager from posting photos on Facebook until a second hearing on December 23.

However she said today she would post more photos once she opens a new Facebook page.

“Yeah definitely, once I make a new Facebook page ... who's going to stop me?” she told ABC radio.

Riewoldt said the photo was taken by teammate Sam Gilbert as Riewoldt got out of bed while on holidays in Miami 12 months ago.

Riewoldt said he had asked Gilbert to delete the photograph and was disappointed he hadn’t.

The photo remained on Gilbert's computer but eventually was posted on a 17-year-old girl's Facebook page.

St Kilda says the photos were removed from Gilbert's computer without his permission.

“If I'd done something wrong I'd be happy to cop that but I've done nothing wrong,” Riewoldt said.

“For the record I have never met the person who published the photograph on Facebook or who owns the Facebook site.

“That a person I have no association with has sought to impugn me is the cause of great distress to myself, my girlfriend, my family and my friends.

“Given that I had absolutely no association with the person at any point, I am at a loss to understand what their motivation could be.”

The naked photos have gone viral after Facebook reportedly shut down several pages on which the images were posted.

Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone - Police say a man on a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas punched a teenager who refused to turn off his iPhone as the plane approached the Boise airport. Officers arrested 68-year-old Russell E. Miller, of Boise, on suspicion of misdemeanor battery Tuesday. He has been released from jail on bond. Witnesses told police the 15-year-old was playing games and listening to music on his cell phone when flight attendants instructed passengers to turn off their electronic devices because the plane was landing. Witnesses told police that when the teen didn't respond, Miller got angry and punched the boy in the arm. Miller says he "tapped" the teen on the shoulder after he refused to turn off the phone. He told the Idaho Statesman that he may have "overreacted," but that he did not punch the teen. Man Hits Teen on Plane Over iPhone

Interac’s first two Flash issuers are Scotiabank and RBC Royal Bank, which will roll out their first contactless cards next summer. The first acquirer is TD Merchant Services, a unit of Toronto-Dominion Bank.
