August Busch IV

August Busch IV - St. Louis county officials are investigating what happened to a woman who was found dead on Sunday at the home of the former Anheuser-Busch CEO, August Busch IV.

Officials identified the 27-year-old woman as Adrienne N. Martin. They said there were no signs of trauma or illness.

A full autopsy report could take up to six weeks, but a source told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the death was being initially investigated as an overdose.

Sources also told the Post-Dispatch that the 27-year-old had been dating Busch, a 46-year-old recent divorcee who had worked to shed his reputation of being quite the playboy, for a couple of months.

Prior to meeting the ex-CEO, Martin had been married to a 45-year-old man for 7 years, with whom she had an 8-year-old son, friends told the paper.

This investigation isn't the first time Busch has met with police about a tragic death, the Associated Press noted.

In 1983, as a 20-year-old college student, he left a bar and drove a car with a 22-year-old woman, Michele Frederick.
