Limewire Bites The Dust - LimeWire Shut Down? Can you believe that LimeWire has been shut down? While the eyes are on the elections tonight, other people are concerned about the fact that they cannot download free music from LimeWire. This was a popular P2P file sharing system, which allowed people to essentially remotely access each other’s computer files and download music and movies.

Some people paid for a Pro edition, which cut down on the amount of SPAM and viruses that were transferred between each others computers. However, these users are out in the cold as well and there’s no indication whatsoever that they will get their money back.

Despite the ruling, many users will still continue to use FrostWire and BitTorrent to get their free music. There’s still ways to get it, it’s just harder for those who aren’t as computer savvy to figure out and find.

That being said, it’s still illegal to download music for free. When we are asked for places where you can go to get the latest music downloads, we always recommend iTunes and Amazon.com. These are virus free and legit, so there’s a decreased risk using them. In addition, if you don’t have a credit card you can go to the gas station in many areas and buy an iTunes gift card and download your music that way.

'Green Hornet' Star Edward Furlong Jailed - Troubled former teen star Edward Furlong was thrown in jail Tuesday for allegedly violating a restraining order against his estranged wife, just hours after attending the Hollywood premiere of his new film, “The Green Hornet.” Furlong was arrested during a progress hearing Tuesday morning over the 100-yard, three-year restraining order taken out by Rachael Kneeland, People reported.
