Moscow-bound Flight 30 had just taken off from JFK around 5 p.m. when the pilot noticed a problem with the left engine on the Boeing 767, said a spokeswoman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who added that ”everything’s fine.”
Firefighters and emergency crews responded and the aircraft landed safely at 5:49 p.m. , Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Holly Baker said.
CNN said the 193 passengers were being put on another plane for Moscow.
