Cyber Monday 2010 Online Shopping is more myth than anything. Retailers have never got traction with this foolishness. Sure, a lot of people shop on line (I do almost all mine this way), but there's no compelling reason to do it on a specific day and, indeed, doing so can impact the amount of time needed for delivery.
Americans are wising up. We are beginning to understand that an economy that is based on 70% of the GDP being retail sales and that those sales are credit-based is not sustainable. Few are willing to engage in the holiday excesses of the past. This is going to be a dismal year for retail. Many retailers will be declaring bankruptcy in the first quarter of 2010. We are going to see some dramatic shifts in the economy over the next few years.
