Facebook did not publicly announce the font size change, but CNN speculates that the actual font contraction happened sometime between Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
“Either the font on Facebook got smaller or my computer grew bigger,” wrote Twitter user bobbyhundreds, with his message retweeted more than 70 times.
“Dear Facebook,I'm going to go blind trying to read your tiny font!!” wrote Pisces__Dreamer.
On Facebook, a few groups popped up lamenting the font change, including one titled “Is it me or does facebook font think im Stevie Wonder ?”
However, some users wondered why the font change was such a big deal, when text sizes could be changed in one’s browser.
“Facebook font size. Whatever. I am amazed that people don't know how to change the text size of web pages,” tweeted danmozgai.
Epoch Times reader Jacqui also commented on this story: "All you have to do is press ctrl and + at the same time and the font size on the whole page will increase. Do this as many times as you need to until you get the size you want. Press ctrl and - and the font size will decease."
