Longoria filed Wednesday and then spoke with TV gossip host Mario Lopez about her husband, NBA star Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
Lopez said Longoria found hundreds of text messages between Parker and the wife of a former teammate of Parker’s in San Antonio. He also said Longoria was “devastated.”
Hours later, former NBA star Rick Barry spoke with TMZ and said his son, Brett Barry, played for the Spurs for three years and he believed Brett’s estranged wife, Erin, was the person Longoria was concerned about.
Rick Barry said his daughter-in-law had already filed for divorce before Longoria’s news became public.
"[Brent] is going to be devastated. I can't even imagine him going through this ... the divorce was hard enough news,” he said.
Longoria also claims Parker cheated on her with second woman earlier in their marriage and that Parker was using Facebook to keep in touch with the woman.
Longoria filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court. She and Parker, the All-Star point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, were married July 7, 2007. They have no children together.
