TNA Turning Point 2010

TNA Turning Point 2010 - Moments ago at TNA Turning Point, former WWE Divas and current TNA Knockouts Mickie James and Tara faced off in a match that made it’s way all around the Impact Zone and was eventually ruled a no contest by the referee. Shortly after it began, the match spilled out of the ring and into the crowd. After being shoved into a wall, the referee threw out the match as a double disqualification. Post match, Mickie and Tara continued to brawl, using anything they could get their hands on. The brawling beauties had to be separated several times by security and agents when all was said and done. Judging by the brutal ending to this match, I don’t think this is the last time these two will face off in a TNA ring. UPDATE: Looks like Mickie and Tara weren’t done for the night. Almost two hours after their brawl, Mickie and Tara fought their way through “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero backstage interview. The second brawl ended with TNA Knockout Madison Rayne blasting Mickie...

Georgina Bloomberg Injured

Georgina Bloomberg Injured - The youngest daughter of Mayor Michael Bloomberg was seriously injured when she fell off a horse during an equestrian competition in upstate New York Friday, officials said on Sunday. Georgina Bloomberg, a professional show jumper, took a "severe fall" while riding at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament. She was unconscious after the fall and suffered a concussion, and was later diagnosed with a fracture to her spine, a spokesman for the competition said. Kenneth Kraus said a complete medical report on Ms. Bloomberg will follow an in-depth examination scheduled for Monday. "Despite the injury, she is resting comfortably," Mr. Kraus said in a statement. "The Mayor is very concerned, as any father would be," Stu Loeser, a spokesman for Mr. Bloomberg, said. Mr. Bloomberg on Sunday was at the New York City Marathon, where he and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly held the tape as the winners crossed the finish lin...

Jacoby Ford Performs

Jacoby Ford Performs - Rookie Jacoby Ford hauled in six passes for 148 yards to lead the Raiders to a 23-20 overtime victory over the Chiefs in Week 9. It doesn't get much better as far as breakout games go. Ford opened the second half with a 94-yard kickoff return TD, made a desperation circus catch over shutdown corner Brandon Flowers to set up the game-tying field goal, and burned Flowers in overtime to set up the game-winner. Along the way, Ford also hauled in a bomb after slipping to his knees. Play-caller Hue Jackson gained confidence in the rookie throughout the game. It's quite possible that Ford could emerge as the Raiders' top receiver after the Week 10 bye. Jacoby Ford Performs

Bipolar Disorder Becomes Epidemic

Bipolar Disorder Becomes Epidemic - When a young child's behavior problems go beyond mere toddler tantrums, parents face bleak choices about how to treat them. Should they seek psychiatric or psychological help? Should the child be put on medication or some other behavioral treatment? Should he or she be labeled with a psychiatric illness like bipolar disorder? Slate had a compelling look at the question this week, which, unlike many previous articles on the topic, does not reduce parents who seek treatment to gullible victims of fad diagnoses who simply want to drug away any sign of individuality in their children. (More on Time.com: Special — Kids and Mental Health). Writer Darshak Sanghavi notes that the diagnosis of pediatric bipolar disorder emerged about a decade ago and has since been given a nod of acceptance by the mainstream medical establishment. Unfortunately, drug companies looking to increase sales have used parents' desperation very much to their advantage...

Dell Employees Move To Dell Phones

Dell Employees Move To Dell Phones - Dell is hot for smartphones. In a sign of support for its new product line, Dell plans to move roughly 25,000 of its 100,000 employees off of BlackBerry phones and onto its own line of Dell phones, specifically the Venue Pro. In addition, the PC manufacturer will begin pushing its corporate clients to use the Venue Pro, reports the Wall Street Journal. The Dell Venue Pro will soon be available on AT&T as one of the first devices to run Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system. Dell is betting big on its new device, but is also dumping BlackBerry for economical reasons. The company will save 25 percent in mobile costs by eliminating its BlackBerry infrastructure, said Brian Gladden, Dell’s CFO. “We actually had a conversation last night around creating a site on eBay where we can actually sell these BlackBerry devices,” he said, referring to the thousands of BlackBerry’s Dell will have to sell or recycle. This move is another blow to RIM,...
