Boys Excavator Bulldozer

Boys Excavator Bulldozer - Police say a pair of boys, aged 12 and 9, used a stolen excavator to destroy a $150,000 bulldozer at a strip mine in Pennsylvania.

The excavator was used to "flip over and smash" a Caterpillar bulldozer sometime Thursday night at Mable Hill strip mine in Mononghela Township. The boys also sprayed 10 fire extinguishers inside the cabs of the machinery, and tossed rocks through windows of equipment, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police.

Total damage is estimated at $164,000.

The 12-year-old, from Dilliner, Pa., is charged with criminal mischief. The 9-year-old boy was not charged.
