Lindsay Lohan Necklace

Lindsay Lohan Necklace - The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office Wednesday was reviewing an LAPD investigation into allegations that actress Lindsay Lohan stole a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store. Los Angeles detectives presented the results of their investigation to prosecutors, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office. "We won’t be making a file decision today," Gibbons said Wednesday. Detectives investigated whether Lohan stole a "one-of-a-kind" necklace that went missing last month from a Venice jewelry store not far from where she lives, sources told the Los Angeles Times early Wednesday. The piece, described as a gold necklace with semiprecious stones, disappeared Jan. 22 from the store in the 1300 block of Abbott Kinney Boulevard, and police began investigating a few days later. According to law enforcement sources, Lohan was seen in a store video wearing the necklace before it was reported missing

Isaiah Crowell Chooses Georgia

Isaiah Crowell Chooses Georgia - On Wednesday, high school football prospects across the country will sign national letters of intent with their favorite colleges, with many of them doing it on TV and in packed gymnasiums and school cafeterias from coast to coast. It's the day defending BCS national champion Auburn begins to rebuild its roster, after losing Heisman Trophy winner Cameron Newton, All-American Nick Fairley and many other stars from a team that finished 14-0 in 2010. Teams like Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon and LSU hope they'll add a player or two who might help put them over the top in 2011. Wednesday is the day when new coaches, such as Florida's Will Muschamp and Michigan's Brady Hoke, start putting the first marks on their programs, and it's a day when coaches, such as Ole Miss' Houston Nutt and Clemson's Dabo Swinney, can only hope they signed enough talent to spark a quick turnaround. Well there's a black card that starts the show tonight. It comes up on the screen." Seacrest explained about Wednesday's Idol broadcast, which will feature coverage of the season's auditions in Austin, TX. "Now I just want to tell you part of it. You gotta see and tell me what you think. As a matter of fact, watch the entire hour because it will all add up and make sense. Rocket Fuel Chemical Tap Water

Rocket Fuel Chemical Tap Water - The Environmental Protection Agency is setting the first federal drinking water standard for a toxic rocket fuel ingredient linked to thyroid problems in pregnant women and young children, the Obama administration announced on Wednesday. Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson said that setting the standard will protect public health and spark new technologies to clean up drinking water. Based on monitoring conducted from 2001 to 2005, 153 drinking water sources in 26 states contain perchlorate. The standard could take up to two years to develop, the EPA said. Perchlorate is also used in fireworks and explosives. In most cases, water contamination has been caused by improper disposal at rocket testing sites, military bases and chemical plants. "As improved standards are developed and put in place . clean water technology innovators have an opportunity to create cutting edge solutions that will strengthen health protections

Wikileaks Nobel Peace Prize

Wikileaks Nobel Peace Prize - Whistleblowing website WikiLeaks has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by a Norwegian politician. Snorre Valen, a member of the Norwegian coalition government's Socialist Left Party, has nominated the website, saying it is a gauge of transparency in the world. He says jailed Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo won the Nobel Peace Prize last year for his struggle for human rights, democracy and freedom of speech in China. Mr Valen says those are the very same values WikiLeaks is committed to globally. He says Wikileaks' recent accomplishment is the role it has played in the recent Tunisian revolution. Wikileaks' Australian founder Julian Assange is currently on bail in Britain fighting extradition to Sweden, where he faces allegations of sexual assault. Wikileaks Nobel Peace Prize

While she was at it, the 41-year-old also said that she is not adopting any four-legged child. “No doggies right now!” She also told DeGeneres a story about a run-in last August with Perez Hilton. Anderson Cooper Punched Cairo - CNN’s Anderson Cooper said he and his crew were punched and kicked in Cairo Wednesday by supporters of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, but that they escaped with just scratches as anti-government protests turned deadly. The incident occurred as supporters of Mubarak rushed a crowd of his detractors, charging on horses and camels and wielding sticks and petrol bombs. The anti-Mubarak protesters fought back by throwing rocks at their attackers. Cooper told Reuters in a phone interview from Egypt that he and his CNN crew were walking through a crowd of Mubarak supporters heading toward the melee, when a man tried to grab their camera. Members of the crowd punched and kicked Cooper in the head and body, and set upon the rest of the crew, including female producer Maryanne Fox, he said. “We were moving quickly and a bunch of guys who hit us were also on the move, a lot of it was sort of glancing blows,” Cooper said.
