College BasketballI Invitational

College BasketballI Invitational - St. Louis University will play host to Indiana State at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the 16-team College Basketball Invitational tournament. This is the first postseason tourney game for the Billikens (20-11) since the 2004 NIT. SLU finished fourth in the Atlantic 10 Conference with an 11-5 league mark. Indiana State (17-14) was 9-9 in the Missouri Valley Conference and lost to Illinois State at the MVC Tournament in St. Louis. The winner of this game advances to a March 22 quarterfinal game against either Akron or Wisconsin-Green Bay. The first three rounds of the CBI are single-elimination, followed by a best-of-three series for the title with the higher seed hosting two games.
