Joe Francis Divorce

Joe Francis Divorce - Joe Francis' latest romantic entanglement can easily be filed under "The Heart Wants What It Wants" -- and in this case, the heart wanted only a month of togetherness. The "Girls Gone Wild" founder and his gal pal, Christina McLarty, are dunzo after throwing a lavish shindig in November in Mexico, where the Internet adult-entertainment mogul swapped vows with the brunet. The good news? They were never officially married. Joe Francis Divorce "There was no divorce and there will be no divorce because the couple was never legally married," a publicist for Francis told RadarOnline. "After careful and thoughtful consideration on both our parts, Christina and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. We entered into our relationship with love, and it's with love and kindness that we leave it," Francis said through the rep. The Queens native, dressed in a furry brown hat and floor-length white fur coat, commanded the stage in front of a back drop of a red and green-lit Empire State Building. Surrounded by dancers clad in white, Nicki amped up the crowd during the pre-taped event, yelling, "Ya'll ready to party? Scream!" before moving into 'Moment 4 Life.' She then slowed it down a notch with 'Save Me.' Source: http://www.theboombox.com/2011/01/01/nicki-minaj-celebrates-new-year-with-carson-daly/ Nicki Minaj Carson Daly Save Me New Year's Eve

Katie Couric Muslim Cosby Show

Katie Couric Muslim Cosby Show - Katie Couric thinks she has part of the solution to bigotry in America: a Muslim version of "The Cosby Show." The CBS News anchor made the suggestion on her web show while discussing the biggest news stories of 2010, including the mosque near Ground Zero and the "seething hatred" that has grown against Muslims in America. Katie Couric Muslim Cosby Show "Maybe we need a Muslim version of 'The Cosby Show'... I know that sounds crazy, I know that sounds crazy," said Couric. "But 'The Cosby Show' did so much to change attitudes about African-Americans in this country, and I think sometimes people are afraid of things they don't understand." The popular 1980s show focused on the Huxtables, an affluent American-African family living in Brooklyn. Man Too Tall to Fly

Man Too Tall to Fly - Just when you thought air travel couldn't get worse, you hear one more hair-raising air travel tale. Was one passenger too tall to fly? Brooks Anderson, 25, stands at 6'7". So, naturally, it's hard for him to fit most places, let alone a tiny airplane seat. But on a recent Spirit Airlines flight from Chicago to Fort Myers, Fla., the tight squeeze forced him to stand for the entire flight. Man Too Tall to Fly According to Anderson, he couldn't finagle a seat with more legroom, and the flight attendants wouldn't let him stretch his knees into the aisle. Anderson, who found the lack of legroom physically painful, asked the attendants if he could stand, and they said he could. So Anderson stood during his flight to Florida, for two and a half entire hours. According to the FAA, it is not illegal for passengers to stand during a flight, as long as they are seated for takeoff and landing, which Anderson was. Still, the agency says it is a

Willow Smith Performs "Whip My Hair" on New Years Eve

Willow Smith Performs "Whip My Hair" on New Years Eve - Willow Smith definitely was a crowd pleaser on Friday night when she performed ‘Whip My Hair’ for the audience of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve show on ABC. The young entertainer definitely got the crowd moving and during the entire segment, her energy was definitely prominent. The most unique part of the evening had to be how Willow Smith entered on stage. Dropping down from the rafters, the celebrity was sitting on top of an oversized radio. Giving the radio wheels, the star was pushed back to signify the performance was a ‘remix.’ Willow Smith Performs "Whip My Hair" on New Years Eve Call the performance whatever you’d like, but you will have to agree with us that it was fantastic. Keeping the kids moving, the young entertainer was able to whip her hair like nobody’s business. If you didn’t get the chance to see Willows performance on ABC, check out the video clip from the show. Don’t go blami

Fox Rejects "24" Movie Script

Fox Rejects "24" Movie Script - Even as attempts to locate Jack Bauer and bring him to the big screen are underway, the news hit today that Fox rejected a script for the big screen movie of “24.” The script presented was written by Billy Ray, and the executive producer Howard Gordon has said that the script was just not “substantial and compelling enough.” So the hunt for a good script continues, while our hero continues to survive in limbo, bereft of his family and air time. Bauer could not be reached for comment, but Kiefer Sutherland told Entertainment Weekly that it’s not over yet. Fox Rejects "24" Movie Script “I was disappointed [Fox] passed on the script but I’m certainly hopeful that the movie will get made at some point,” he said. “Anecdotally, I’ve heard from people who are really missing the show and I do think there is more life in Jack Bauer.” Sightings of Bauer in London and Zimbabwe have fueled speculation that he is meeting with Indie produc

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Old 1977 Peugeot 504 Auction - The President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's old 1977 Peugeot 504 is up for auction. Why is the old car on the auction block? It is called the the Mehr Housing Fund. This move is seen as an effort to appeal to young people in Iran as well as helping draw attention to housing projects that he has promised. The auction for the classic car will be in February in Abadan. Generally, a car like the Peugeot would sell for about

New Year's Resolutions for Moms Dads Kids 2011

New Year's Resolutions for Moms Dads Kids 2011 - We all know the trouble with New Year's resolutions. They seem like these great goals that will magically be attainable because we just switched to a new calendar, and then -- poof! -- the reality of our hectic lives sets in and our motivation goes out the window a few days, weeks, or (if you're really good) months into the new year. So how about a new approach this year? Make your hubby and kids your resolution buddies and set New Year's resolutions for your family to work on together. Working on resolutions solo puts all the pressure on you, but you barely have time to do anything for you, so maybe packaging your goal in a more fun and family-friendly way will help you stick with it in 2011. Bake your Own Bread

Bake your Own Bread - The smell of fresh warm bread is one few people can resist, and it̢۪s easy to make your own. Follow these essential tips for successful bread baking. Step 1: Leavening - In order to rise, bread requires a leavening agent, such as yeast. This is mixed with water and sugar and set aside in a warm place to activate. It's ready when the mixture is frothing. The yeast mixture is then combined with flour and salt to form a dough. Bake your Own Bread Step 2: Kneading - This ensures the dough will rise by lengthening the gluten strands and evenly distributing the yeast. Use both hands simultaneously in a pressing, folding and turning action until the dough is smooth and elastic. Kneading takes between five and 20 minutes, depending on the recipe. Step 3: Rising - Set the dough aside in a warm, draught-free place to rise for at least 30 minutes. Bread that hasn't had enough time to rise (or that has risen too quickly due to an excess amount of yeast) can

Fashions that Never Go out of Style

Fashions that Never Go out of Style - Turqouise is the new black, clogs are the new shoe, Alexander Wang has the new “it” bag… you have to admit, the world of cutting-edge fashion can all get pretty confusing after a while and almost impossible to keep up with. With hundreds of trends flitting in and out (and then back in again), what’s a girl to do? The preppy essentials are pretty synonymous with classic. After all, what girl’s closet would be complete without her cardigans, little black dress, and ballet flats? Today’s preppy is done in luxe materials with a fashionista spin, but just ask those New-Englanders and they’ll tell you “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Source: http://www.collegefashion.net/fashion-tips/four-timeless-styles-that-will-never-go-out-of-fashion/ Fashions that Never Go out of Style

Tucker Carlson Vick Executed

Tucker Carlson Vick Executed - Fox News Commentator, Tucker Carlson, has found himself in hot water for saying some things that were none too nice about convicted dog fighter, Michael Vick. Carlson’s rant occurred only a few days ago while he was on Fox’s “Great American Panel.” Not disguising his disgust, Tucker said, “I’m a Christian, I’ve made mistakes myself. I believe fervently in second chances. But Michael Vick killed dogs. And he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think, personally, he should have been executed for that.” Wow, tough words from someone who occasionally wears a bow tie. Anyway, it’s safe to say that not all Christians feel the same way Tucker does. Most believe in forgiveness and would never call for the death of another human. Woman Sees Jesus Christ X-Ray

Woman Sees Jesus Christ X-Ray - A woman from Elwood, Indiana, says she saw the image of Jesus Christ in her chest X-ray. Admitted in a hospital on December 12 for pneumonia, Karen Sigler claims there is a clear image of Jesus Christ just above her heart - just where she hoped he might be during her health scare. Sigler said she was shopping at the local general store down the street from her house, before her operation, and had the strangest feeling. Woman Sees Jesus Christ X-Ray "I was just really scared I was going to die," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying. Suddenly a stranger approached her and said, "Jesus said you're going to be healed." "My faith just got a little stronger since I saw that Jesus was sitting on my heart and that he's there. You can see him. He's there," said Sigler, after her second hospital visit. She is now waiting to find out if her cancer is gone and will start chemotherapy in January. She says she

Nutrition Labels Coming To Meat

Nutrition Labels Coming To Meat - Meat labels with nutritional information such as total calories and grams of fat are coming to packages of meat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on Wednesday. Currently, the nutritional labels appear on most prepackaged food like cereal and canned goods, but will extend to containers of ground or chopped meat, as well as various fresh cuts of meat, beginning in 2012. "More and more, busy American families want nutrition information that they can quickly and easily understand," U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack said in a statement. Nutrition Labels Coming To Meat "We need to do all we can to provide nutrition labels that will help consumers make informed decisions. The USDA and the Department of Health and Human Services work hard to provide the Dietary Guidelines for Americans every five years, and now consumers will have another tool to help them follow these guidelines." USC Researchers Hack Microsoft Kinect

USC Researchers Hack Microsoft Kinect - Researchers at USC have hacked a Microsoft Kinect camera and gotten it to control the hugely popular computer game, World of Warcraft. And the software they used to pull it off, known as Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit or FAAST, is downloadable for free online. CAT_SE_3D_RGB_NA_RTsm FAAST, built by USC's Institute for Creative Technologies, allows users to play computer games with a Kinect motion-sensor camera by translating body movements into the inputs that would otherwise be triggered a keyboard and mouse, or a gaming controller with joysticks and buttons. Cancer Ends 50-Year Streak For Elvis Performer

Cancer Ends 50-Year Streak For Elvis Performer - This New Year's Eve, for the first time he can remember, Ted Prior won't be gyrating on a stage somewhere, warning someone not to step on his blue suede shoes. Cancer that has spread throughout his body and took root in his brain is forcing the Atlantic City native to miss a scheduled concert in Ocean City, N.J. It will be the first time in a 50-year career that spans close to 10,000 performances that south Jersey's answer to The King has had to miss a show. "That's the one thing that bothers me," he said, reclining on a couch in his living room, wearing a multicolored Elvis bathrobe, rings on almost every finger, bracelets and necklaces aplenty, and a smashing Elvis-like wig standing in for the once-flowing hair that chemotherapy and radiation has wiped out. Skirvin Crying Baby Knicks

Skirvin Crying Baby Knicks - New York Knicks players who stayed at Oklahoma City's Skirvin Hotel are claiming they hear the ghost of a crying baby at night known as the Skirivn Crying Baby. It was so disconcerting that Eddy Curry had to sleep in Nate Robinson's room. Although with how much money Eddy Curry stole from the Knicks he should be watching out for a hitman hired by Knicks Owner James Dolan. Skirvin Crying Baby Knicks Legend has it that a mother jumped out of a 10th floor window of the hotel with her baby in her arms in the 1930's. Apparently the baby ghost haunts The Skirvin to this day. This haunted incident calls for the TAPS team led by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Hawes and Wilson are the guys behind the show Ghosthunters which has been on the SyFy Network (formerly Sci-Fi) since 2004. It would be a great investigation plus they could maybe work in a couple of the Knicks players into the investigation. Source: http://www.philly2philly.com/phillybuzz/

Kids Favorites Walmart Pulls CD

Kids Favorites Walmart Pulls CD - Christina Wilson was getting her 4-year-old son up from a nap and bringing him in to listen to a compact disc his grandparents had given him for Christmas when her husband stopped her — he thought he heard something inappropriate. Then Wilson listened to the "Kids Favorites" CD out of her son Caiden's earshot and heard the profanity. "It was a shock," she said. Wilson said that on Tuesday she contacted the Wal-Mart store in South Bend where her in-laws had bought the CD to let them know about the lyrics. 100 Car Pile-Up

How to Keep your New Year's Resolutions

How to Keep your New Year's Resolutions - What’s the best way of making your New Year’s resolutions stick?Last year Prof Richard Wiseman tracked the lives of over 700 people as they attempted to achieve their New Year’s resolutions. Participants were asked to describe the techniques that they had employed and their level of success. Only 12% of participants achieved their resolution. Obesity 9 Months

Obesity 9 Months - Researchers found as many as one third of U.S. children at the age of nine months were obese or overweight or at risk of obesity and the rate varied by race and socioeconomic status. The rate of obesity among 9-month-old infants seems greater than what was found in an early study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which estimated the obesity rate among children aged between 2 to 5 years at about 12 percent. The study was conducted by Brian G. Moss, PhD of Wayne State University and William H. Major Airports Mull Ditching TSA

Major Airports Mull Ditching TSA - MAJOR US airports are weighing up whether to axe the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). In its place would come private contractors, with public outrage over security screening on the rise, The Washington Post reported. Sixteen airports have already made the switch since 2002. One Orlando airport approved the change but still needs to select a contractor, and several others are reportedly seriously considering privatisation. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which oversees Dulles International and Reagan National airports, is studying the option, according to spokeswoman Tara Hamilton.
