Peggy Rea Dies - Actress Peggy Rea, best known for her television roles in "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Grace Under Fire" and "Step by Step," died on Monday. She was 89.
A native of Los Angeles who began her TV career in the 1960s, Rea's resume reads like an overview of classic American television: it includes "I Love Lucy," "Bonanza," "Marcus Welby, M.D.," "Gunsmoke," "MacGyver" and "The Waltons."
She was a series regular on "Step by Step" and "Grace Under Fire," playing Suzanne Somers' mother and Brett Butler's mother-in-law, respectively.
But to many fans Rea will always be known as Lulu Hogg, Boss Hogg's brassy, outspoken better half.
